Tibble Fork Reservoir Trailhead


GRANITE FLAT CAMPGROUND
American Fork Canyon is a Winter wonderland.   Take the left fork, and drive 2 miles to Tibble Fork Reservoir, where you'll find a huge parking area and a gated road.   Outdoor adventures include, hiking, snowshoeing, fishing, cross country skiing and enjoying a snowmobile ride up several roads.




GRANITE FLAT CAMPGROUND
This is a great place to go on your first visit to Tibble Fork.  One mile up forest road #10, you'll find a groomed place for cross country skiing.  Snowshoers must walk on the sides, staying off the groomed portion of the trail.   No snowmobiles are allowed in the campground.

SILVER LAKE FLAT - FOREST ROAD #10
Snowmobiles, cross country skiers, hikers, and snowshoers can venture up the snow packed road 4 miles, to Silver Lake Flat.   This would make a great day adventure.

NORTH FORK CANYON - FOREST ROAD #85
Snowmobile, cross country ski, hike or snowshoe up the road.   This road connects with Midway and other backcountry roads.

TIBBLE FORK TRAIL #41 - MILL CANYON TRAIL #40
Backcountry adventurers, may enjoy this 3.8 mile loop.  The trail begins by crossing the Tibble Fork dam, and taking the trail #41 to the right.   At the first trail junction, take the left trail #40, down Mill Canyon to Tibble Fork Reservoir.  

FEE: $6 for 3 day pass; or use your National Recreation Pass on a rear view mirror hanger.
RESTROOM:  Available at the parking area.
DIRECTIONS:  From I-15 take exit 284, travel east on Timpanogos Highway to American Fork Canyon.

Pine Hollow Trailhead

American Fork Canyon is a wonderful place to see in the Winter.   Take the right fork and drive 1.8 miles up the Alpine Loop until you reach the gated road.   See breath-taking views of the mountains that God has created.



ALPINE LOOP NORTH
Enjoy hiking, snowshoeing, cross country ski or snowmobiling up the road.   You'll see majestic views of the canyon from the road. 

PINE HOLLOW TRAIL #47
Enjoy snowshoeing up a narrow canyon.   The trail joins the Salamander Flat trail #150 in 1.3 miles and Ridge Trail #157 in 2 miles.   No snowmobiles are allowed on this trail.

Check Avalanche forecast before entering in the backcountry.

DIRECTIONS:  I-15 exit 284, drive on the Timpanogos Highway SR 92, east toward mountains.
