Bonneville Shoreline

Tunnel Springs Park in North Salt Lake is under construction; but the Bonneville Shoreline Trail is still open. Hikers enjoy great views of the Great Salt Lake.   Dogs on the trail must be on a leash.

TUNNEL SPRINGS PARK to CITY CREEK CANYON

This is an Intermediate technical ride for mountain bikers, with some steady climbs, and loose gravel on the downhill.  Most bike riders may want to ride to the top of the hill and return to the trailhead, instead of climbing down to City Creek Canyon.

DIRECTIONS:
  • From SLC take I-15 north,
  • Take north salt lake exit 312 (US 89)
  • Stay in right lane and turn right on Eagle Ridge Dr.
  • Drive up the hill and turn right on Parkway Dr.
  • At Eagle Point Drive turn right and park.
  • Tunnel Springs Park isn't open yet; so park on the road.

Jordan River Parkway from Center Street

JORDAN RIVER PARKWAY
The Center Street,  LEGACY PARKWAY  trailhead offers great bicycle rides to the north and to the south.  While most people ride north to Farmington,  after 1 mile ride south, the trail joins the JORDAN RIVER PARKWAY.
You'll enjoy riding by the Jordan River and by the Rose Park Golf Course.   Fall colors are incredible too.

Silver Quinn Parkway

The SILVER QUINN trail in Park City has been paved.   It used to be a dirt double track (dirt road).   The trail runs along the side of US 40, between exit 2 to the Medical Center, near Round Valley.
Mountain bikers can take RUSTY SHOVEL up the hill to RAMBLER or NO WHERE ELKS.

RUSTY SHOVEL also makes a good downhill trail with well made switchbacks and only a few rocky areas.   This is a moderate ride up the hill too.
NO WHERE ELKS is a fun, moderate technical ride to the VALDEROAD.
SOME WHERE ELKS is a more rocky intermediate technical ride down the eastern side to MATT's FLAT near Round Valley.
