VIEW FROM BLACK ROCK

Historic Black Rock Beach and Sunset Beach were wonderful places to have fun in the 1960's.  Bring an umbrella, beach towel and float in the Great Salt Lake.  Outdoor showers were available to wash the salt and sand off.  People from all over the country loved to visit.
These businesses are gone; but memories still live on.

Current Conditions
Due to construction along I-80 working on replacing a bridge, it was decided the best solution to protect people and construction equipment was to block vehicle access to Black Rock.

Pedestrian traffic is still allowed.

If you wish to visit Black Rock, please park on

the side of  the frontage road as to not block

construction traffic and then walk into Black

 Rock.
