UNION PACIFIC RAIL TRAIL ~ SILVER QUINNS LOOP

Are you looking for a great evening mountain biking in Park City with a fast downhill ride?   Enjoy a combination of dirt roads, paved parkways and city streets.


RIDE DIRECTIONS:
  • Begin your ride at Promontory Rail Trail,
  • Ride south on the Union Pacific Rail Trail toward Park City,
  • Cross busy SR 248,
  • Ride a paved portion of the Rail Trail to the next road,
  • Pedal up Richardson Flat Rd and turn right on Park City Parkway trail,
  • Continue riding the Park City Parkway,
  • You will ride by the dog park on this paved trail,
  • The trail continues up the hill between two buildings,
  • And the paved parkway ends at the Park City Medical Center,
  • Continue on the Silver Quinns dirt road,
  • Follow the dirt road by US 40,
  • When you reach Highland Drive, ride north on this street,
  • Turn right on Silver Summit Parkway road and ride over US 40,
  • Continue on Silver Creek Drive,
  • Turn right on Promontory Ranch Road,
  • Turn left into Promontory Rail Trail parking area.
MILEAGE: 8.5 miles
ELEVATION GAIN: 250'
RIDE TIME: 1 hour
RESTROOM available at parking lot.
DIRECTIONS:  Take exit 2 off of US 40, drive east on Silver Creek Dr, turn right on Promontory Ranch Road, and left into the Promontory Rail Trail parking.
